I read alot on here about guys sanding thru 320. Also sanding thru the grits at 400,600,1000 and 1500 grit. Is there a standard/recommended speed to sand at? I assume it is different between acrylics and wood. Does type of sanding material matter? For example if the micromesh or paper is wet or dry?
Also if you can recommend a finishing RPM also?

I also wet sand at about 1500, which is about as fast as I can spin a wet pen without spraying all over. I dry sand faster, but make sure I don't press so hard that the sandpaper gets hot, and keep it moving.

I wet sand acrylic and wood once it's been sealed with CA. Before CA I dry-sand wood.
