:DWell ole Coop had a friend who went to Texas for the Winter. He sent me a newspaper clipping from San Antonio Express-News about a fellow name John Lopez down in Poteet Texas. He was making or is making what he calls South Texas Cow Patty Pens. Myself being a Indiana farm boy with lots of Cow Pattys nearby. I desided to try to incase some in Clear Alumlite. Health concerns are a given! But you folks here is the URL http://tinyurl.com/6fk8my Let me know what you think. Pens is kind of cool, Coop

Pen is clearly a piece of $&%T That said, it looks interesting but I see dust mask issues, but I'd bet they'll sell and I imagine a cartridge pen with half being deer poop and then there are the moose poop cigars, etc and the stabilization questions, pressure or vacuum stuff....where does it end?:D

I saw one of those pens in person at a craft show in Waxahachie a few years ago and was not impressed. I think some folks get a little carried away with their efforts to find new and different materials out of which to craft pens.

A pen made out of an ice cube blank would be "kind of cool."

Doesn't surprise me. When I was a kid, I remember some guy selling deer poop jewelry. Stuff like earrings and necklaces. He baked them in an oven then shellaced them. Who would want to wear baked dookie around their neck?

It is pretty common to find a paper weight made of elephant dung cast in resin in the curio stores back in Africa. You can make a lot of paper weights from one "dropping" :D
