***LOT 3 is SOLD***
***LOT 5 is SOLD***
I have 7 lots of REAL Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia Nigra) blanks. They are $20 each lot, shipping included in the USA. Check each pic for detailed sizes... many are 7/8"+ and most are 6" long !!
Due to CITES, BRW, nor products made from BRW can be shipped outside the USA.
A sample of this lot was verified as Brazilian at the Biological Services lab at the University of South Carolina...I will include a copy of their letter.
I am not a wood reseller....we do hobby carving and sell odds & ends on Ebay.
I picked this 1960s Brazilian lot up to do some instrument work and have several BF of smaller pieces & cuttoffs left that I am cutting & selling for turning blanks.
The grainy pieces give nice dark contrast with lighter rosy highlights. The darker looking, straight grained pieces can finish nearly black. A few pictured show a little light sapwood, this finishes like a light oak.
Brazilian Rosewood has a uniform, medium to coarse texture with medium-sized open pores.
Please PM me for my Paypal info. I know I am fairly new here, but you may check out my 100%, 1900+ Ebay feedback here:

Again, please see sizes with the pics, but here is a little description of each....
LOT 1:
Large piece is staight grained with rosy/orange highlights
2 smaller pieces have a nice rose streak right down the middle and a slightly wavy grain
LOT 2:
Mostly straight grain with a little figure. Dark coloration with "wine" highlights. The sapwood piece will turn mostly "light" with a small streak of heartwood.
***SOLD**** LOT 3:
A little wave and some contrasting coloration in this lot. 2 pieces have light rose striping. The "main" stripe runs right throgh the middle.
One piece has a little sapwood which will likely leave about 1/4 of the finished product with an interesting light strip.
LOT 4:
Some light, thin rosy stripes in this grain and a little wave. "Mid sized" piece is opposite with slightly lighter color in the majority and dark streaks.
***SOLD***LOT 5:
Should get some nice pattern in these pieces. A little lighter color overall which gives a nice contrast with the black grain lines.
LOT 6:
Nice dark lot, mostly straight grained with just a light hint of that deep rosy glow.
LOT 7:
A mixed lot. One of the long pieces and the short will turn exposing all dark heartwood. One piece is a "fade" from a medium heartwood to lighter sapwood
The last is "marbled" and may produce a completed pen with 1/2 to 1/3 sapwood showing.
