It's getting when someone tells me they have wood from an old barn that they want pens made from I get a little nervous. A co-worker of mine told me he wanted pens and matching boxes made from some old oak beams that came out of a barn.
It's not oak. I think it's maple, but it could be cherry as well. Anyway, here they are, ready for the engraver (in the mail this morning, actually, to Stan Cook).
Three boxes (I made a couple extra while I had all the setups done), only one of the four shown in the four shots below, and Pentel conversions for the pencils and Chrome Button Clicks from Arizona Silhouette.
CA finish on the pens and wipe-on poly on the boxes.
