I can't understand how it is that the PSI website in 2015 does not offer a perennial shopping cart. How many times have I started adding items to a cart and thought "I'll finish in the morning" only to wake up to an empty cart!!

Worst still, I rebuild a cart this morning and for some reason, when I added a new item, it emptied

Please PSI, upgrade - I am sure that you will see increased sales since right now some of us may get frustrated and simply not bother to purchase unless absolutely necessary.

A better question may be "Why shop with PSI" if you don't like their service. Several other vendors offer the same PSI products at often better prices and service. Surely one of the will ship to Barbados. Just Saying.
Do a good turn daily!

A lot of modern websites will dump a shopping carts after a span of time. This is due to not being able to ensure the quantities needed to fufill the items in the shopping cart. The really good sites, have a shopping cart that will retain all items for your next visit, and inform you on your return of inventory shortages for any item in the shopping cart. Even better sites will let you know if items in your cart experience a price change before you finalize the purchase. Amazon.com does this.

I've had some items in their shopping cart for four days now and received an email yesterday from PSI that everything in my cart is available for a 5% discount if I follow through with my order.

If you think you're not going to finish the transaction right away, why not put your selections in the Wish List. When you're ready to check out, just move the items from the wish list to the Shopping Cart. Wish Lists usually do not get 'cleaned out'.

I have had the opposite experience. My stuff stays in the cart for several days. I then get several reminder notices along with at least a 10% (sometimes 15%) discount to pull the trigger on the order. However, like others have said, I buy 95% of my goods from our IAP vendors: enjoy a discount, faster shipping, and the opportunity to support those who support us.

Are you logging is with your user name or as a guest. When I log in there as a guest, my shopping cart is empty the next time but when I log in with my user name, I get reminder emails and usually a discount to encourage me to complete my order.
