While we all enjoy the Structured Piths held sporadically through the year, the opportunity to exchange a pen and make new friends or to keep in contact with an old one should be available throughout the year.
The rules for this thread are simple.
Start up a thread by posting your available to do an exchange, work out the specifications or lack of for the pen, and the time frame, and logistics of delivery.
If you prefer not to ship overseas you should put that in your post.
If something happens that will affect your ability to complete an exchange in a timely fashion that was agreed upon, communicate that immediately to your partner(s).
If the parties do not complete the exchange and communications break down or someone simply fails to complete an exchange contact me immediately! Anyone failing to complete an exchange can be subject to being banned from any and all IAP activities until the exchange is completed.
You May start a group pith stating the objectives and specifications of the exchange and the maximum amount of people that can join in.
If you wish to withdraw from hosting or particpating you can post in your thread that your closing the thread to new exchanges, you must still complete any ongoing exchanges you started.

OK, let's try it out!

I am willing to trade a pen with anyone - simply a 1:1. No requests, anything is perfectly fine.

Open to the first response.

This is not a group PITH, just a 1:1.

(hope this is what the new forum was intended for). :)

Finish by March 30, international is fine, PM's will refine the specifics.

PITH from Sam!

I received an awesome pen from Sam. He did a fantastic job on selection/segmenting/finishing and supplying unique blanks!

Not sure how I got duplicates or rotated?

Received my PITH from keithbyrd, it's an incredibly beautiful Raven (lazerlinez) in Osage Orange. Perfect fit and an impeccable finish, my photos really don't do it justice - the chatoyance is gorgeous. The blanks are awesome too, as you can see. Thanks to Keith for a great PITH exchange!

Hi Serge
The pen and blanks I sent pale in comparison to the gifts you created and sent.
Folks, check this workmanship:

The pen is a combination burl/watch/acrylic cast Sierra.
The fit and finish is flawless.
The cast blanks include tanned Flounder fish skin, a metallic glitter acrylic and a real cool piece of art.
The package included tanned fish skin seen in the top picture.

Thank you very much my friend."/>"/>

You posted that on Monday, and that link is for the old forum. Translations from the old to the new link format isn't done yet.

Also, the image zoom feature isn't working yet.

For the moment, you can take the old photo number (the n= in the link) and put it in this format:

Receive today My PITH
Hello Serge. After reading this I understand that Gary sent you wooden pen blanks into Australia. I thought that immigration didn't accept wood sent into Australia. Can you clarify as my son who lives in Perth W Australia wants me to send him a pen. I lived in Orange NSW for 12 years and something wooden posted to me from UK had to be gamma-rayed before I could receive it ( costing me $40 )
Many thanks
Alan

I have had many packages of wood pen blanks sent to me over the years, from USA , Canada, and Costa Rica. I have never had a problem, they always go straight through. Sent many from here to overseas and never a problem as well.

I'll trade with you - but it will take me until after the BASH to complete one for you. Just have to decide which of my segmenting ideas wont make it into the contests.

No worries - Mark James and I were the first ones to join this - so I knew it was an old thread that Mark Mayo resurrected (Easter came early this year...)

I'm not exactly sure how this works but I'm down. Maybe a 2 pen, 2 blank exchange. One nice pen and one "white elephant" (one that's been sitting for awhile and hasn't sold or been chosen for a gift). Same deal on blanks, one new one just acquired or made and one that's been sitting on the shelf and you just haven't gotten around to it.

Got my trade from Duderubble. Couldn't be happier. Two great pens & four great blanks. Can't wait to make something with them.
