Hello, anyone have any Rand tools, I can tell they look low end . The Duplicator for the lathe looks like its made pretty well anyone own one of these? I wanted to make my own duplicator but for $100 I think I might try it out. Thanks Everyone, LandfillLumber

Then the duplicator has all of the fun turning.[;)][}:)][:D]

Seriously, this topic surfaces regularly on all of the pen forums I frequent. From what I've read from previous posts, the duplicated pen still needs to be sanded and finished...the duplicator does a rather rough job with the turning. Others had reported that by the time they get a new penblank ready to turn and get the duplicator set up with the proper template and get it all aligned, they could have turned the pen by hand. Even those who have purchased one and used it for awhile have reported it was not worth the effort. But, I do not know anyting about them first hand.....just what I read in previous posts. If you get or make one, please give us a report on how you like it, how it works, etc. Good luck.
Do a good turn daily!
Don
