This blank set me back $150.00. Thats what I paid for a dump truck full of assorted slab wood cutoffs from a lumber mill (delivery included) I was able to rescue a half a dozen bowl blanks , about 15 more rainbow poplar blanks and about a cord and a half of fire wood from it. So all in all not a bad buy. This poplar had streaks of black, grey, burgundy, blue and deep purples as well as greens and browns. Im usualy not a big fan of poplar for pen blanks but I'm pretty happy with this one. It is on a CSUSA 10k CEO twist pen.
Nothing was used to enhance the color of the wood. just sanded to 400 then 8 coats of thin ca, micromeshed and polished
