This pen is made using a brand new blank from the Turners Workshop here in the UK. It's so new that it doesn't have a name so I'm referring to it as R&D Cellulose Acetate. It's very beautiful and has a real depth to it.
I've used bronze accent rings, made by drilling and parting bronze rod on the lathe. (It's a good idea to start with rod just a fraction wider than you need so you don't spend too long turning down to size and wasting metal). Both the pocket clip and Bock no6 nib are rose gold plated. The finials and section are made from black Italian acrylic. The coin is sterling silver.
The cap threads are 13mm triple lead and the pen is around 145mm capped and 135mm open.
Comments welcome.
