It's about time I showed some of my recent work again.

This thread is dedicated to StuckInOhio and to TonyL:

- yesterday TonyL seemed bored and said he likes to see others' work (Tony is very diligent about posting his own work)

- StuckInOhio provided some special motivation for making these pens

These are some Professor kits in Antique Brass; very simple pens to make and I really like them for that reason. :) . CA finish on all pens. . There are 5 different wood blanks in the following order, left to right:

1) spalted Sycamore
2) Big Leaf Maple burl
3) curly Oak
4) stabilized Maple burl
5) Crape Myrtle burl

Nice variety Mal! The Crepe intrigues me - very nice. All look good. I like these variety pics.

You think I made a spelling mistake, don't you, Mark ? :)

I thought so too at first, but that spelling is acceptable ... (and it's the way the vendor sells it)

I really find the grain in that blank intriguing also ... the raw blank looks pretty blah but it really comes to life !!

Thanks Mal...and well done! I would like to try the same with the spalted sycamore and crape myrtle. Thanks for the pics and the ideas.

Terrific Gaggle of Professors Mal, if that is an acceptable Collective,
Fantastic Blanks, while the Spalted Sycamore obviously stands out the Most.
I think they are all Superb,
Great Fit and Finish.
Congratulations,
Brian.
