I have been giving a lot of thought on an idea and need suggestions. I want to start up a program next spring to show support for our local police men and women as well as our county deputies. Thinking on the line of making slimline pens for them as a gift for their service, not wanting to take away from the freedom pen program, because I really enjoy making pens for them, make a lot during the year for them. Has anyone else given any thought on the same line? If so any suggestions.

Thanks, Keith

How about your fireman and your rescue squad members. Your counsel people deserve some love. Maybe the Mayor. Don't forget your postman. Rain or shine the mail must go through. Have a bunch of pens with you as the policeman pulls you over for speeding or making a right turn without stopping or talking on the cell phone, just hand him a pen and he will be able to write the ticket in nice form.(Ok just a little humor)

Call it "Pens for the Community"

Nothing wrong with alittle humor. I have given some to some firemen and my nurses that take care of me when I need em. All of wife's coworkers have one also. Hey I might even give one ole santa!!!

A member named "Eagle" used to do something like in his community. I don't think he did it for every policeman or service person, but he would pack a pen or pens and when he see one, he would walk up and shake their hand, thank them for their service, and leave them with a pen. At least that's how I remember the story going........
