Question for my British Firends

My father in-law left behind an odd collection of stuff and we've toted it around for a good many years. One item in his collection was a "Limited edition vintage port to Commemorate the decomissioning of H.M. Royal Yacht Britannia" that I'm looking to find information on. I did find a picture online, but that was all. Does this have value or is it fine sitting in a box out in the garage? My bottle and certificate is marked limited edition number 0577. The picture below is from a different one (Note the Number)

As it is a wine, do NOT store it upright...the cork will dry out and destroy the wine.
