Question about slims

Hmmmm

If you find out and it is repeatable I'll start selling slimline kits again.

Seriously there are probably some of the 7mm's that with the right blank might be made to be worth that. I'd be more inclined to think of Streamline, Comfort or Designer and/or their counterpart models than slimlines though primarily because of the larger diameter center bands.

Everyone,

Look it up. Knife makers use it. Beautiful. Lots of bits and pieces in a random pattern.

A fellow turner showed me his single blade pocket knife (purchased in much better times). $900.00.

It's pretty, but a blank would be costly and would definitely have to be turned on a metal lathe, and it would be heavy.

It's not so hard if you don't require the external slimline parts (nosecone, cb, clip, finial). Hand-make those out of silver and you're well into that price range.

This one sold for $500, and uses a slimline transmission and 7mm tubes.

Make one from gold, and you'll easily have a several-thousand-dollar slimline.

Okay, maybe I can't wait 48 hours. And it isn't a slim...it's a comfort.

But it's still 7mm tubes.

Hopefully this starts the creative juices flowing looking forward to the Birthday Bash.
