Apologies if you've seen this in progress already in the advanced penmaking forum, but here it is finished. Now has a nib and the removable finial, to change the refill.
Inspired by the Queen's Baton for the forthcoming Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014, which starts in July
With the possible exception of how they 'printed' the titanium ( which is fascinating !! ) I loved the way the making of the real baton looked like it was being made in some guys back shed. :biggrin:
The Scots are without doubt the most inventive nation on earth and I think this Glasgow company - 4C, made a great baton.
I hope you like my interpretation.
Oh, BTW, I made a beginners error when I started making this and the pen body and cap got crossed around.....the fancy end was supposed to be the cap!!:redface:
