I think I mentioned in a previous thread that I had tried my hand at casting. Turned out okay. But lately I've become obsessed by another turning adventure - segmented bowl turning. I was waiting for some glue to dry on a bowl I'm working on (hopefully another thread soon) and had some junky wood in the shop so I put together this one. The wood is red oak (bark and all) and the material is Alumilite (sp?) tinted with a mix of "clear" and "opaque" blue resin dye with a little PearlEx thrown in for pizzaz. Painted the tube white before epoxying it in. I hope you guys like it. Critiques welcome.
