Since I have been learning pen turning I have been buying some of the less expensive kits (cheep) thinking I won't be out too much money if I mess it up.
Well I learned something.......again. I bought a few of the higher end kits from Arizona Silhouette this past week and what a difference in fit and finish. I ain't a going back.

Rolland - Actually those "cheap" kits were quite valuable. Look how much you saved by learning on inexpensive kits instead of goofing up a $20+ kit.

+1 on what Mike said. Use the same logic with your more precious blanks. DAMHIKT:frown: I blew up a beautiful blue Cholla Cactus blank the other day and I was being careful, so I thought.
