I'm not sure if I've told about this before or not. The company used to work for has it own in house QA and as far as I know it's the only grocery store that has one. Anyone what to take a guess as to what they do.
Well since I only had one guess I tell you. In other companies it's called house keeping or janitorial services. How they ever came up calling it QA is beyond me.
Your right Mike about QA standing for Quality Assurance. When I first heard about the department being formed I thought it had to do with the quality of the project the meat department and produce department put out. I was just as confused as you are when I learned it was the name of the cleaning crew. I worked in QA when I was in the Navy and the only time we checked to be sure something was clean was when we did an Aircraft corrosion inspection. I hear the company has changed the name to Q&A which to me has always stood for questions and answers.
