Push handles for Jointer

I just finished putting my new HF 6 in rabbiting Jointer/Planer together, (Never trust the Chinese Directions) I have it together finally, it work pretty well, now I've noticed there are 3 pretty sharp knives spinning at a speed approaching Terminal Velocity, Since I've spent enough time in surgery physical therapy and Dr's offices I would like to avoid these situations, I went to Lowes and they don't even carry push sticks for table saws.
I would imagine there is a special type required for a Jointer/Planer something with teeth on it to both hold the wood down and keep it moving along, any one have any suggestions where I could find such a thing, or do I just make one out of Ipe or some other hard dense wood?

Eric is absolutely right about this. You want to use push blocks when working with jointers because you can put downward pressure over a much larger area than with a push stick.

Rob I got the 30289 I't not too bad for the money, now I just need a spiral carbide head LOL they cost more than the Jointer it took two of us nearly 4 hours to put the thing together, I still have one piece I can't figure out where it goes ow what it's function is.

I pretty much saw this when I started squaring up a Padauk board 4X4 X36
I still will need some sticks like printer tom showed for doing thin stuff for inside out ornaments.
I guess Grizzly gets my money for the push blocks they have some large and small ones, and I'm out of disposable digits so I'm going to get a pair of each.
 
you can also make them out of small concrete hand floats. My bet is Home Depot has those. if you can't find one short enough use one of your saws, but don't forget the push sticks.
 
I make my own like Tom's only not as fancy and out of plywood with a block on the side for a handle.

Also, when possible, I prefer to pull wood through a jointer rather than pushing it through.
