purse hanger blank question

For those making purse hangers, what are you using for your acrylic blanks? Are you starting with bottlestopper blanks and cutting them down to get multiple purse hangers out of them? or is there a blank size I'm missing that is better suited?

I haven't used acrylic yet but i was going to try these, Pack of 8 Acrylic Inlay Sheets 3/16 x 6 x 6 at Penn State Industries. I do like your idea of the bottle stopper blanks.

DAMHIKT but you will want to paint the bottom of the insert prior to gluing it in place. The glue will show through in a not so pretty way unless you paint or coat the blank. I use the 1 1/2 sq blanks such as teh ones from WoodTurningz and nice wood scraps.

Corian is also an option. I received a box of the display samples from a friend in the business and all of these samples are about 2" square and 1/2" thick. Perfect size for items like this.

No I pour my own that way I can make it has thick has I want.
