PSI xl40-2 Lathe Question

Hello everybody.

My first lathe was a CL purchased PSI XL40-2. The man I bought it from purchased the lathe originally in 1991 with the intentions of learning to turn. So, he never did and the lathe sat for 22 years until I bought it a few months ago. It seems to wobble...a lot. My thinking is that the drive belt is very stiff from sitting for 22 years unused, and it causes the motor to bounce (motor is mounted to a hinge against a spring/bolt style tensioner). Do any of y'all have suggestions for locating a belt? I've tried auto parts stores, but they don't have anything that thin. I'm guessing I'll be stuck with eBay. I may try a local lawn equipment/tractor supply store just in case.

Also, if anybody knows anything about this type of lathe, do you have any other thoughts or suggestions for me?

I would start out with some belt dressing. unplug the unit and put it on the belt all the way around. then turn it on a slow speed and let it run foe a little while. Make sure that the guard is in place before turning in on just incase it comes apart.
ps; I should have asked this first, Is it a V-belt or is it flat and have groves in in it? If you do brake it, put a peaceof string around thepullies and mark it where the meet , them masure the string.that is helpful when ordering anew belt. Happy hunting, this gives you perpose in life. ;-)

Luckily, I know it's a 29" belt. I just don't know the width (maybe 1/4"). It is stamped as 29". The belt guard is no longer attached. I need to bolt it back on. I did a little turning, but was afraid I'd wear out the bearings. I've since bought a (much smaller) Harbor Freight mini lathe.

I had thought about belt dressing, I just haven't given it a go yet.
