I had a request to do a few of these for someone. See if you can catch the mistake in the layout directions faster than I did.

Nice catch. You got it faster than I did. When I set up the blanks to turn, I looked at the sheet and read that the upper barrel was the shorter of the two and then didn't bother to look at the lower barrel (Process of elimination say it has to be the longer one). I turned several pens prior to assemble only to find out that the lower barrel is supposed to be the shorter one. It was a very frustrating loss of a few nice blanks and tubes which are now trash.
 
I guess it would be the same for the Faith Hope and Love pen too?
Does anyone know if this is the same tranny as the PSI's classic twist pens?
If so it's not a very good one concidering the price and looks of the pen.
 
save them a use them on a new pen and just make the other barrel the proper one for the kit. Use a contrasting blank for the new barrel.

I would contact customer service and see how they can take care of you.

You got me to looking! I just did one of those as a custom. Mesquite with a name engraved. I couldn't remember how I determined which was which, but apparently I looked at the other diagram that has dimensions. That would be bad! Also, prepare to take a file to the tip. I had issues with the refill passing through.
 
Are you sure that it will really make a difference? No you are right it will make a difference. you might be able to shorten the lower barrel to allow for the correct amount of travel.
