Does the foam insert in the box come out? The orientation is backwards from the way I need to present a pen.

Yes. I always flip them.

Yes. I just sold a bunch of these boxes with extra inserts

To do it in a way that will not show (if you need to pry a bit), jab an awl into the foam as low as possible, and at the end of the precut pen slot. Then pull upward to loosen the the insert.

Done it a lot, never was one glued in place.
