The SS is actually more silver than shown in the pic. It looks amber-ish in the photo and I am too lazy to take another one.
The mechanism operations smoothly. We will see about longevity.

I would probably have to see the EDC in the flesh to decide how I feel about the Hardware, But that is just me.

I, too, love this kit. One issue I had encountered, though, is that the click mechanism will tend to come unscrewed, leaving the pen in pieces. Be careful.

Tightening with nylon jaw pliers helps.
