Just got myself a Onefinity Woodworker X-35 with a stiffy up top, and I'm wondering what the recommended height for my enclosure would be with the vacuum hose designed to exit through the top center.

I haven't come across any ideas on this subject or seen any design plans.

I have the same model and am thinking that enclosure would need to be very tall to have a hose attached to a dust boot still reach the 4 corners. Are you planning on a 2.5" hose or the 4" hose?

Why are you looking at an enclosure?

To save on expenses I'm just planning for a 2 1/2" hose and dust boot.

I'm doing an enclosure for a few reasons. My machine is in the garage where it gets cold in the winter and humid in the summer. I've got the environment controlled fairly well for humidity, but not for temp. When I don't have the whole garage heated up wood pellet stove style, I'll be keeping my CNC warm (enough) by use of a small heater with a thermostat, with the help of the enclosure.

The sound muffling will be helpful as well.
