I've been working for awhile to figure out how to make kitless segmented pens. I'm finally there. I need to clean up the cap to body threads. But I have a prototype now.

Well done Bryan. This journey will have many "forks in the road" for you.
Segmented blanks are a challenge for kitless as most want to include closed ends or at least a custom finial. The alignment and design considerations are visually important. There will be a "few" things to sort out as I suspect you have discovered/anticipated.

That is resin for the threads and the cap's inner tube. I bought the clip.
