Hey guys,

I don't have too much experience with some of the many finishing products out on the market. I pretty much use Woodturner's finish or BLO / CA. Can some please tell me which Myland's, TSW product specifically is usually used? Myland's makes a few different products, as does TSW. Thanks in advance,

James

I use Mylands Cellulose Sanding Sealer, Mylands Melamine Lacquer and Mylands High Build Friction Polish and I also use TSW and Renaissance wax...

James I went and looked at your pens---your finish looks good to me. If you wanted to try any improvement try Ren or TSW.
Remember that is going to add a lot of time to your pen. When you get your pens finished the way they are now ---you would need to let them cure overnight before appling TSW or Ren wax.
Hope this helps.

James,
Here is the TSW we're all talkign about. You may have read that it has been reformulated to be a little easier to use. Pens of Color carries both, with the new formula being found here:

Interestingly, they appear to be closing out the old formula, and have it on sale at a very nice price:

Bill Baumbeck (Arizona Silhouette) also carries it:

as does Jim Lambert:

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the kind words. I am able to get a nice finish most of the time. I would be nice however to have a few more options in my arsenal for different situations. Thanks for the advice.

James
