Hi,
I have started experimenting with a plexiglass finish, and get a lot of "pitting" on the surface. These are tiny pin prick size, but they get clogged with plastic polish, and look awful. Without the polish, they look like little air bubbles, but aren't.
Here is my process:
Thanks!
Chris

Here is my process:
- My plexi is thick, like room temp maple syrup, but not quite.
- 3 dips in plexi with about 1hr in between each dip to ensure it dries without trapping moisture and blushing like lacquer (DAMHIKT)
- knock it back with 320grit
- dry sand 400 grit
- slow down to lowest speed and wet sand 400, 600, 800grit
- wet sand with micromesh to 12K
- Novus 2 plastic polish
Thanks!
Chris
