Problem with a PSI Dog click pen

I made a PSI Dog click pen for a Dachshund lover. It was perfect (I think) when it was done and she loved it. She received it on Christmas and I got it back today with the ink poking out and it won't click. Is it possible for the mechanism to slip into the pen?

Just sounds like the clicker just went bad if it does not click. here are the instructions and if you followed all the circled don'ts properly then you need a new clicker. Also there usually a direction on those springs with the small end going onto refill first. May want to check that.

I've had a similar problem with mine. Try adjusting the dog bowl that screws onto the plastic click mechanism. It may be loose. What I've done is taking a small drop of blue Loctite and glued the bowl in place to keep it from coming loose.

I gave the bowl a steady pull and it snapped back in place. The bowl is loose and I will try the Locktite.
