I use Paypal frequently to pay for then print out my shipping labels.

Up until a week ago my HP1012 laserjet printer was working just fine printing labels at 70% original size using another HP driver since HP chose not to make drivers for the laserjet 1012 printer that work with Win 7.

What I really liked about the laserjet was that I could scale down whatever I was printing, in this case the USPS shipping labels. At 70% size they fit perfectly on small boxes.

Now that I have to use one of my other printers, I have lost the capability of scaling down the shipping labels.

Does anyone know of any software out there or a "universal" driver that would allow me to scale down an image such as a label before printing it out?

I don't know about other programs, but Fire Fox allows me to scale whatever I print from the "Print Preview" function under the "File" button.

Monty, Thanks for the tip. While it doesn't work for the small popup window that Paypal opens up, it's nice to know I can shrink things down before doing screen prints from within Firefox itself.

I tinkered around more with the little print window that launches and when I click OPTIONS then select 2 sheets per page, it scales down the label to just the right size!

If I sent mine to say 70%, and forget to set it back to 100, it prints everything from any program at 70%. Give it a try and see if it does the same for you.

By Golly............ It works!

I set it to 70% and when the little print box opened up I just hit the print button and sure enough, the label came out perfect!

And your right, I closed Firefox and checked to see if the percentage was still 70% and it was so forgetting now and then will probably happen!

Thanks for the help!
