Not a lot of spare time to turn pens lately, between other projects and the job that pays for all that... but this one had to be done, a birthday present for a dear friend, managed to snap a couple pictures before sending it away

You are absolutely correct. And this is a beautiful pen!

For those that are not familiar/have seen Pommele Bubinga, it has awesome curly patterns, but not as prone to eventually splitting as some beautiful burls.

Very nice.

One more pic I didn't originally upload because it's out of focus, the curls are really special and unique. I have a few more of these blanks, I'll definitely take better pictures next time

I've never turned a Venus nor have I seen many to decide if I want to. Now I know...definitely! Thanks for sharing that beauty!
