Greetings IAP,

Yesterday I finished up this PSI Premium Designer NT. The blank was a quite plain piece of Cocobolo. I used GluBoost for the finish. I am still learning the nuances of GluBoost compared with my standard CA regimen. I had to refinish the lower blank on this one because I was a little light on finish or was a little heavy on sanding and had a dreaded sand-through on my first go round. The refinish worked great though. I suppose sometimes plain blanks are OK. Maybe I was just getting spoiled because the last few Cocobolo pens I made had a lot more color variations in the grain.

Anyhow, here are the pictures:

Great looking classic pen! Finish looks great. Was that a tenon or no-tenon version?
The Premium Designer from PSI is only available as a No-Tenon (and is only available in Gold plating). I prefer the Premium Designer because it uses 8mm tubes and takes a Parker style refill vs the regular Designer/Euro's that are 7mm, Cross style. - Dave
