Preference

For those that thread...


Is there a preference between SAE and Metric? Does Metric give a finer thread or just Metric diameters?

I use both - depends on what I'm threading. You can make fine or coarse threads with each. Metric are a little easier to calculate.

I picked up an SAE set. For the price, I will stick with what I know.
I'm only testing for now to get a feel for threading. These will do the job..... I hope.
