I have 4 blocks of Pre Ban Brazilian Rosewood for sale. In Nov 1992 CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) added Brazilian Rosewood (Dalbergia nigra) to Appendix 1 (the most protected) that made illegal the import of this rosewood into the US, and most other countries. The only wood available in the US is wood that was here before the ban. Supplies and quality are getting low and when you can find them pen blanks cost between $15-$20 for a 5/8x5/8x5 blank.

The 4 blanks are as follows:

#1 2.2"X2.9"X6" There is a crack a 1/4" from one edge that runs about 3" and looks to be 1/4" deep. There is some sap wood but as you can see it is not very deep. $80

#2 2.6"X3"x6.5" Has great colors, you can see in the picture that one face has a chamfer on both the top and bottom. $120

#3 2.9"X2.9"X6.125" Has great grain and some SAP. As you can see in the picture there is some bark inclusion in one edge, about an 1 1/2" long. $120

#4 2.1"X3"x6" This is the lightest colored of the four but also has the best grain patterns.

In the pictures these blocks have only been sanded and wiped off, no liquid added so they will darken when finished. The costs include priority shipping and tracking. If you buy multiple block contact me before paying and I will remove some shipping charges.Because of the CITES ban I WILL NOT SHIP THESE OUT OF THE USA!

To claim, respond in this thread and PM me. Payment is by PAYPAL only.

Thanks for looking Mike
