My Mother-In-Law is currently in the SICU due to internal bleeding. The procedures that have been performed so far have failed to determine where the bleeding is coming from. The doctors are trying everything they can short of surgery to find out where the blood is coming from. If surgery becomes necessary it is a major surgery that could have long term health consequences related to her colon and, due to her age, she may not even be able to survive it. Prayers would be appreciated.

I am sorry to hear of the difficult situation your family is going through. I hope and pray the doctors can find the cause of her illness and get her back on her feet to a fast and full recovery.
 
I hope by now, she's at least in stable condition. Having positive thoughts and waiting for some good news.
 
Thanks to you all for your prayers. They are working. The doctors were able to find something (although my wife doesn't remember what it was called) that was removed. This evening my MIL was sitting up, able to eat jello, drink tea and in good spirits. Still under going tests but things are improving!!!
 
An update:

My Mother-In-Law was released from the hospital after a 6 day stay. The Docs found the source of the bleeding to be busted blood vessels. Once that was under control she had to remain in the hospital until her Hemoglobin reached normal levels. That took several days. She is home resting as she is still very weak.
