I really hate to sell it, but the life as a retired person on a fixed income is not much fun. I do have a smaller lathe to continue to turn pens on.
I bought the Powermatic 3520B new a few years ago and it has really been a dream machine. I have not had any issues with it and its is the smoothest lathe I have ever seen. I have turned a few bowls and spindles and a few hundred pens. I try to take proper care of my tools and the lathe is in great shape. The lathe includes all the original accessories, plus a 6" tool rest, A Oneway Stronghold chuck with several sets of jaws including the Cole jaws seen on the chuck in the photos, 2 faceplates, and a Powermatic dust collection shroud that fits on the back of the tool rest. I also will include a Easy Wood rougher, the David Marks Signature edition, with chip shield.
As you probably know the lathe is a variable speed, with 2 speed ranges, and converts normal 220v to 3 phase with an onboard converter to achieve the speed control. If is very handy to slow the speed down to make the rough cuts, then speed it up for the finish turning and then slow it way down for CA finish application. All with a twist of the wrist.
Obviously the lathe is a pick-up only deal and I live in Columbus, OH.

I am asking $2500.

Bruce, I'm sorry to be reading that your selling your lathe. If you only lived closer, I'd buy it in a second. At the price your asking, it won't take long to sell it.

Thanks Bruce

you are a super nice guy and I wish you all the best. Your lathe is in a good home and will make a lot of bowls, platters, hollow forms, pens and trinkets - maybe even a bansagi pod :) as soon as i figure out how to post pics on this site I will.

first pen off the lathe

Hey Bruce here is the first pen off the lathe - Sierra twist, Jatoba barrel with a hard maple twist. Also, the unfinished stage of a cherry urn and the second turn on a maple bowl, the maple bowl grew some spalting while drying in the shavings - I like it :).
