First of all, if you powder coat brass to a gold color, how close does it look to actually being gold? Second, how thick is the coating? And third, can anyone do a piece for me and how much?

I am pretty sure the closest your going to get to a plating is having the parts plated. Powder coat and dura-coat are more of a coating rather than a plating. Even the dura-coat Metallic gold has the metallic look but still has the appearance of gold paint or coating.. Hope this helps..
