Has anybody come up with some kind of conductive coating that can be sprayed on so that you can powdercoat non-metallic items?

Just wishing!

Scott.

There are several. I read about coating plastics at one time.

Just easier to paint for what we needed.

Cool! Thanks for the information Rick!

So then the question becomes, what substrate would work best for making a pen? Wood evidently is not a suitable substrate because of the inherent moisture content. So we're probably looking at a synthetic material that is relatively non-reactive to heat up to about 450 degrees, right? Are there any of the plastics that fit this bill? How about ebonite?

It would also be nice to know when using the powder with this "water", if it will kind of "flow" and level out? My ability to paint things smoothly and evenly left me years ago, and it would be nice to think that the colors applied this way would self-level when they cure? I am up for some experimentation, but others of you will likely get to it first. If you do, please let us all know

Scott.
