Well, after getting messes up by Harbor Fright putting my PC gun on back order until late December and finding that I would spend $70 and drive 80 miles to get it, I decided to order one from Eastwood. I am positive this will be a much better unit all togather. Then I went to the site to buy thier $99 unit and found the "deluxe kit" for $139 which included 2 extra powders (3, 8oz cans total), spare cups w/ lids, and some hanging wire, plugs, tape ect... Worth the extra $40.00 I would say and I would need the stuff anyway.

I am also buying this for around the shop and plan to someday pick up a free "wall oven" that can be built into a workbench. For now I have a nice new toaster oven for small stuff.

Eastwood is very helpful with powder coating supplies and problems. Here is a link to a pretty good video on the 'how's it done' as far as powder coating is concerned ...

Well dang guys... I just got back from a trip to the White Mountians tonight and would you believe that I had a box from Eastwood on my doorstep!!?? Heck I ordered this on Sunday evening, and Monday was a holiday!! I assume they delivered it today, but we left Monday morning to head up there and just got back.

Well, I now have my PC set up, and I am not going back into work until the 17th... BwaHaaaahaaaaa

Well today was the day to give it a try. I would say I have about a 75% hit on it. I coated a pair of tubes white and the coating is a hair light on the bottom. I plan to recoat them and see how it lookes then, I am not sure if it was lack of powder or the tubes were not clean.

I also need to remember to remove the extra shafts so that I can keep the powder off them. [:(!] I even used 1/4" rod and tapped the base so I can simply loosen the lock nut and clean them on the wire wheel. I also think I need to use the special plugs to keep the powder out of the inside of the tube.
