I am going to start doing some casting and wanted to know if there was an advantage making a mold large enough then cutting blanks out of it or using a mold like those made by Gadget? Even if I cast with tube in place I can still cut them apart and be ready to turn almost as quick as casting one piece at a time. Is the end result a blank with less bubbles in it if done as singles?
Thanks for responding
Russ

6 or 1/2dozen will be the same, if you want to make your own moulds you can, cut the PR or allumine after is cured to the size you want, in the other hand if you don't want bother doing your own moulds them contact Gadget and aks him to do a mould to your own specified size, I'm pretty sure he will do it, I do my own moulds, but got 1 mould from gadget in 3/4" size and love it, but like I love my moulds no shipping. HTH,

I use both types, the ones from Gadget are great for everything, but the large cutting board molds aren't too good if you are making one blank or if you are makking different colored blanks. It is a choice you will have to make.
