One of my least favorite things to do with a router is change the collet.

I keep a 1/2" collet in my regular router table (picture #3).

I recently purchase a decorative joint making jig, that requires a 1/4" collet in the table. Since I don't want to be changing collets everyday, I decided to look for another solution.

I had a shop cart, I previously made using the cart from an old grill. It is amazingly sturdy and nicely portable. I removed the small plywood top and added a table top. The top was given to me by the owner of a fast food restaurant when he renovated his dining rooms. The only purchased part in this project is the stock router plate.

I now have a mounted 1/4" router in the table, ready to use. The table height is 3/4" below my table saw, so it can double as an off-feed table. Wheels allow me to tip it and move it anywhere in the shop.

Doesn't have much to do with pens, but I still wanted to show it off.

Thanks for looking.

Nice! I like to have my router table on wheels too so I can roll it out of the shop to make my mess.
