Poll (kinda) which rifle clip do you prefer?

I have seen rifle clips with the barrel up and some with the barrel down. I heard that the barrel down was stronger and not as easy to snap.

I like the barrel down because of what you said about the strength.
I broke one of my first one trying to straighten the clip.

I don't like either clip... I think they distract from the work done on the pen... a simple clip shows off the pen better... my opinion for what it's worth and you know what you paid for it...

I hate rifle clips. They are really ugly.

Haven't seen barrel down but the weakness of the regular style makes me hesitant to reuse them.

don't like rifle clips, baseball bat clips, golf club clips, cross clips, tennis racket clips, or any other similar clips. I think they look cheesy and distract from the pen. This is not what you asked but I thought I would share anyway.

Being in Law Enforcement I have built around 50 bullet pens for co-workers, I started with the barrel up and since they were being used daily I ended up replacing about 10 out of 30. Since I have switch to the barrel down I have built about another 20 and have not had a single issue, I have even started replacing the broken up-barrel with the down barrel. I have also adapted the cigar down barrel to the sierra all of my customers seem to like the down style better even if it is for a lefty.
