What if a very good friend lived 2,000 miles away and wanted to start pen making? What threads, videos or other information would you share with your friend?

Please post links to really good information to this thread. Also, please include a short description of the link

To get things started, here are a couple that Hank Lee (leehljp) created a few years ago that I want to share:

Basic things to think about when starting out http://content.penturners.org/library/general_reference/Getting_started_in_pen_turning.pdf

Some veteran turners discuss what they do differently if starting over http://www.penturners.org/forum/f14/if-i-had-known-earlier-46654/

Selling pens - harder to find threads without people getting bent out of shape:

The Penturners Bible by Richard Kleinhenz and also the penturning book by Barry Gross for starters are great resources.
Plenty of videos by vendors..(Ed)...... And others.
Also, this person can use the "phone a friend" method...(You!)... Or get on IAP here and go at it!

Well, your here. This is where I get most of my information. You should also learn how to properly use a lathe if you don't already. Your local woodworking shop should be helpful there.
