I didn't want to fire up the Apple and do this properly with CS4, so I just did a mock-up in elements to see if it was something worth finishing.

Sorry, can't tell what the middle letter is.

It's a Z, but it doesn't matter because I won't be using this font. I don't have the fonts in elements that I have in CS4.

This was just a test to see how I liked it and maybe I'll get a final draft sometime soon.

Although it could be perceived as a pen or quill because of what this forum is based on, but it's simply a feather.
I do much more than just pens and most have nothing to do with pens.

The feather is a symbol of achieving a higher goal and not to take anything too seriously along the path.
I enjoy everything I do, or I wouldn't be doing it.

Get rid of the loop at the bottom and make it a little longer and tapered.
Or separate it from the letters a little more.

I do like it just helping out.

IMHO, not a fan of busy thin fonts

I like the quill but unless your doing quill pens, it really don't go with your site or products

I like playing with logos, should make this a contest LOL

I agree that the fancy script font doesn't work for me. Not sure why any font available in CS4 is not available in Elements. Any installed font should be available to any program. At least they are on any machine I've ever used.

Try a fancy serif font like Goudy Handtooled or another inline font. Or maybe something bold like Tiffany. Both of these I use quite a bit on classy projects.

Just MHO, worth exactly what you paid for it.

Hey Doze, I like it! The concept is very good. Let's see it when you "tweak" it. In that font the D and R remind me of music clefs. :) Very lyrical.

They are available...if you want to download them. Elements is just that...... a stripped down version. Elements is not a vector program so I don't waste the time to download the fonts, just use CS4 and done. I just use elements to put an idea on paper to get a visual on the design.

Thanks for all the input. Like mentioned, the font will be changed.

I have tweeked it and need to get on the Apple to get it finished. I'll post it when finished.
