Nice. That's a cool looking wood. It doesn't usually get used for woodworking, but it should with the unique color. It's certainly works on a pen.

I got the Platypus Gum blanks in a package from George Valentine @robutacion in South Australia a couple of years ago.
I don't think that he posts to the UK now due to all the demands placed on him because of brexit.

Australian wood STABILIZED (hardened/treated) pen blanks

These are wood/timber, vine and other suitable materials for making pen blanks that, due to their soft nature/condition/spalting etc., are put through a stabilisation/hardening process, using a full vacuum chamber and a specialised resin called "Cactus Juice" imported from Texas in the USA.
