Look what showed up in my mailbox:

This incredible piece was sent to me by Bruce Robbins (brobbins629), and I really, really like it. He calls it Pine with a design. I call it *mine*.

WHaWHaat!!! That is beautiful. I am really impressed with this one. This took a lot of thought to work out.

All I can say is WOW!!!! I've been struggling as what to do with a piece of pine. Bruce just set the bar a couple of notches higher than anything I could dream of ! Regards, Doc

I have a design, but Bruce totally blew mine out of the water...

Bruce that is crazy cool! Nice work!

Congratulations Beautiful pen, the best part of the PITH is to take the basic requirements and see how far you can push yourself to make a pen above any expectations.

My heart "pines" away to own this pen. In fact, ANY of Bruce's creations! You are one lucky guy....That is beautiful and the workmanship looks superb.

Even if you hadn't told us who sent it, I think I could have guessed it. WOW!

Wow you have a beautiful pen. That takes more skill than I can muster to put that blank together. That should go in your trophy case.

Was this one done using the new machine or fancy segmentation?
This one was done by carving the channels on a CNC and filling with polymer clay. It was a nice challenge to write the code. I guess it would be possible to do by segmentation, but not for this brain.

It still gives you one heck of an optical illusion. Kind of reminds me of the background to the old Q-bert video game. As always Bruce you set a high standard.

WHEWWW!! Ok, good, i thought we had a Mega gennius among us that none of us could compare to. Not that you are not a brilliant man Bruce, i admire your a lot, you come up with some very original stuff and i am sure that the code for this was no easy feat either ,but if you would have figured that out by segmenting you would be the Master Segmenter.

Either way, what a Beautiful Pen!!
Great work

Justin
