I have been looking at some of the photos on here and I see where some of you get a real nice light or even bright pink when you finish the pink ivory. What is the best way to get pink ivory to stay lighter in color?

this is only my experience but one thing I learnt is not to get it too hot especially with sanding and drilling. 1 it gets darker plus it cracks

It is my understanding (and so far experience) that most pink woods while eventually will look good, will mostly turn darker and loose the pretty pink you desire. I haven't done pink ivory because I am afraid that same will happen

I'm kinda with Frank on this one.. I've tried PI about 3 or 4 times... it's beautiful wood, but I struck out every time and like Frank.. "why bother" .. it's like teaching a pig to sing.. doesn't work and it annoys the pig.
