PINK Florescent Pen Blanks! Super Unique!... Spalted Oak, Maple Burl, etc.

This week I just have a few sets that I did while trying out the "Extreme Pink" dye from Turntex.

WOW!!!!!!!

Turn out they are super bright- florescent Pink! The pictures don't even do them justice because the camera can't focus well with the brightness.

Set 1: One spalted oak, 2 Curly Maple, 2 Maple Burl, and one 6 inch cross-cut spalted Maple- $24. (first two pictures)
Set 2: One spalted oak, 2 Curly Maple, 2 Maple Burl, and one 6 inch cross-cut spalted Maple- $24. (Second two pictures)
Set 3: One spalted oak, 1 Figured Maple, 3 Maple Burl, and one 4 inch cross-cut spalted Maple- $20. (last two pictures)

I can fit two or three sets in a box for $7.50 shipping. Sizes are about 3/4 inch square by 5 inches except the crosscut

For those who wonder .... I cut one of the curly maple in half to see the penetration and it went all the way through...

Nice! How do you dye them? Vacuum chamber with cactus juice or DNA or?? I can't seem to get the dye to penetrate so I end up just dying the blank after it's turned.

Not sure Ben, but my trials with the Extreme Pink Cactus Juice in CJ under vacuum works quite well.

I know that Florescent dye are larger molecules so I kept the vacuum pressure on 29-30 for about 5 hours and I agitated the chamber a couple times. Penetrated quite well! Haven't turned the blanks yet, but I'm excited
