Pinecone duck call

So I thought this might be neat to try. I don't think I have ever seen a duck call made from a pinecone. I had a few of these digger pinecones laying around so I thought Id try it. I used some Acrylester Renaissance for the band incase it didn't turn out so I didn't waste a brass ring.

I was thinking just because you can do something it doesn't mean you should. Lol. I was suprised at how neat it looked. Thanks so much John! It means so much coming from you.

Definitely neat to try, and the results show you were quite successful! I love the look of it, and it really suits the duck call well.

Very nice, our club demo this month is turning Duck calls. I have turned a couple, but I'm not a Duck hunter so I never know if it sounds right or not. The people I gave them to said they were fine, but I still wonder!!

Same with me... never sure it sounded like a duck and didn't want to put out something I couldn't test, so I've also stopped turning calls.
