What type of pine cone is that? Which tree?



Alot of flame showing through on the turnings!!! I like it!

I love doing the cones, Takes a lot of patience so I don't do them often, but when I do get started I love it....I always call them south Georgia pine cones.
 
Neat stuff, do you cast them or saturate with CA? I did one with CA, took a lot of it. We have had high winds for two days. I guess I should pick up some pine cones.

Thanks everyone for all the compliments.

I soaked them with CA while i was turning. You have to have a good mask or it will knock you out. I finished with numerous coats of CA.
