I bought four blanks and this one was first. Much more blank color, sparkle and details than the photo captured.

Beautiful pen. Blues like that are my favorite color. I love the contrast between the pine cone and the acrylic. Awesome craftsmanship.

One moreā€¦

Since this is a hybrid blank, I treat it just like raw wood. I give my wood 4 coats of thin (5cps) and 10-12 coats of thin (50 cps) Pen Finish. It works!

Quickly finished this one for the Octoberfest show tomorrow. I bought these pine cone blanks from CSUSA and they are the best I've seen - great colors and lots of pine cone. Turn carefully as the difference between the alumilite and the pine can be tricky.

I'll only eat the brats - honest.
